I studied Spanish for years. I used Duolingo. I took classes. I did Pimsleur in the car. I reached the point where I could read a Spanish menu without Google Translate and understand the gist of a telenovela episode with subtitles.

It is the default outcome of every popular Spanish-learning app. Duolingo, Babbel, Pimsleur — they all teach you to recognize Spanish. None of them actually make you speak it in an unpredictable, real-time back-and-forth.

That is the gap SpanishPal is designed to fill. You hold a mic button, say something in Spanish, and Elena — an AI tutor — responds in Spanish. The exchange is real. It is unpredictable. About the app

SpanishPal: AI Conversation Tutor is an iOS app published by Migdio Media LLC. Elena, the AI tutor, runs on Claude (Anthropic’s AI model) via a Supabase Edge Function — your conversations are processed by Anthropic’s systems to generate Elena’s responses. Speech recognition uses Deepgram. Voice output uses OpenAI TTS. Your conversations are sent to these third-party services as described in the Privacy Policy.

Dialect selection is set in onboarding: Mexican Spanish, neutral Latin American, or Spain Spanish. Elena adapts her vocabulary, slang, and cultural references based on your selection. She corrects your mistakes gently, in-context, without interrupting the conversational flow.
